January 13, 2025It’s no RazorCrest, but it gets you where you’re going. A fantastic model, with some great parts usage and just feels great when you swoosh it around. The Lego Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter is an excellent gift option if you just want to treat yourself. As a collector of Lego Star Wars, this is a fine addition to any collection. Let’s break down the finer details.
Pros: I’m not someone who cares about price per piece; I prefer the good old eyeball test. Which it passes! And for 60 dollars, it has some great value; the ship is incredibly well built and not too repetitive. A fairly straightforward build yet has interesting design techniques to excite even the most seasoned builders. The minifigures are fairly detailed, and it is nice for the Mandalorian to finally have a face print.
Cons: I don’t know if there are any, to be honest. I only wish it looked a tad more polished looking; I would love Lego to begin incorporating the chrome pieces from the good old days.
"I need a new ship."

October 15, 2024Ah the N-1 Starfighter. Though, it will never live up to the awesome Republican Gunner ship, the Razor Crest, Mando's new ship in Lego form is as awesome as ever.
Sleek and agile, the main body of the N-1 is very sturdy and well built. With only a few stickers, this set became one of my favorites. The wings, I am sorry to say, arn't as well built as the body of the ship. The two turbo engiens at the tip of the wings do NOT stay on well at all. They are only being help up by four studs on either side. One wrong move and you lose your engiens!
The back 'tail' of the ship also comes off very easily, if touched with force.
The hidden cargo hold in the body of the ship is ok. Though, it was a smart design, when taken off, it pulls the cockpit window, off with it, which I do not like.
I must admit, Peil Monto's figure is PERFECT for her charater. Wild curly hair, tool belt and all.
While it might sound like I don't have much good things to say about this set, it is one of my favorites and I hope it will be yours as well.
Great but one annoying part

July 19, 2024My son really likes all the mini figures in this set as he’s a huge fan of the Mandalorian show. He especially likes the new Peli Motto mini figure and her droid because it’s cute. He wishes there was a villain in this set as it would make play more fun. In building and play there’s an annoying engine piece at the back bottom which is held on by 4 studs. It falls off very easily and sometimes he wouldn’t notice and just find it lying on a table. Also, if you have the spring fired missile in it, when you try and fix it, your finger will often land on the engine, pushing it down to fire it. My son already lost one spring loaded missile because of this before he’d finished the build.
The N-1 Starfighter - who needs a Razor Crest?

October 2, 2022This is a model of the Mandalorian’s latest ship the N1 Starfighter, replacing the Mandalorian’s Razor Crest, piloted by the Mandalorian and featured in, you’ve guessed it, The Book of Boba Fett. Whilst this might be confusing to those unfamiliar with Disney Plus and perhaps buying for a relative or friend, essentially they went down a Marvel inspired crossover of different series, but rest assured this ship will no doubt take centre stage in the upcoming Mandalorian season 3.
The first thing to note is that the N1 Starfighter is big, larger then it’s 412 bricks would lead you to believe. I mean we’re not talking Death Star big but at 42cm in length this ship eclipses any other comparable ship in the Lego Star Wars range. Great for value and playability but maybe a little out of scale for a fighter, being only 2cm smaller then the current Millennium Falcon. But in the age of inflation perhaps we shouldn’t complain about getting more for less. And yet I have, it’s very confusing.
Build time is roughly 2-3 hours, is simple enough for youngsters still mastering their brick knowledge and the free Lego build app is always recommended. Features include a spring loaded shooter, a small cargo compartment and two cockpits, one for the title character and one for his small companion. Size aside this is a very accurate depiction of the on-screen ship and detail is up their with the best of the Lego Star Wars range.
The kit includes four minifigures, a good amount for the cost and brick count: The Mandalorian who comes with a jet pack and darksaber for the first time, Grogu, Peli Motto the loud but comically sound mechanic, and one of her worker droids. A well rounded set of characters for playability and for those looking to add to their Mandalorian collection.
All things considered this is a great set. Sure ‘it’s no Razor Crest’ but exceeded all expectations in detail, size, and minifigures and fans of the series and impatiently awaiting The Mandalorian season 3 will love it.
