Overall...not an awful sports camera purchase
michaebouye5· Review provided by ebay.com · November 8, 2023
It looks like a GoPro and works like a GoPro...but the image quality explains why it is 1/4 the price of a comparable GoPro (HERO 2). The 4K must be an "interpolated" 4K, because it does NOT look like a 4K image should...BUT...I did a side-by-side comparison (against a GoPro HERO 2, at 1080) and if you don't look too closely, some of the video footage (from the AKASO EK7000) had surprisingly better contrast and richer color than the HERO 2 (in daylight conditions). Image stability is non-existent. Setting the AKASO at 4K is still less image quality then the HERO 2 (set at 1080...since the HERO 2 does NOT shoot in 4K). The AKASO LCD display is helpful (for composing and monitoring). It came with ample accessories for above ground and underwater use. OVERALL...IF YOU'RE ON A BUDGET, it's worth the $70 selling price, as long as your image needs are not critical...BUT...you can find used HERO BLACK 7, 8, or 9 models for less than $200 and they are TREMENDOUSLEY BETTER SPORTS CAMERAS.
[Rewarded Review] Great value for camera!

Pretty great camera for the price! I used my camera while on vacation/snorkeling. Takes good pictures and pretty great videos. I know that the GoPro is usually popular but this camera works just fine if you don’t want to spend too much on it. I might upgrade as I keep traveling but again, it works for now. The battery life holds up pretty well. I was very impressed. I highly recommend.
Lots Of Stuff For The Price

I haven't used it yet, I'd ordered it like end of 2019 and got it Jan. 5th, 2020, it is out of the package and it does come with A LOT of little accessories, which is nice, I think I understand how to operate it, just have not used it yet. I don't think I remember seeing anywhere in the description though where it says that the micro sd card is not included. So you'll have to spend a little bit more for a micro sd card and it says a specific kind of micro sd card is needed . I did however read another review and they didn't get the specific micro sd card that it "requires" and that one works just as good as the one it says it specifically needs. So if any micro sd card will work I would not worry, the cheaper micro sd cards will be fine. I say cheaper as the specific one that they say that this sports camera needs was at least $11 something at Walmart (which is what I paid for the micro sd card since I went ahead and got the "specific" one they said to get. Again if you can't afford to get the more expensive one the less expensive kind will do. Again that was based on another review I'd read, So far though I actually kind of like this one, but then again this is only a starter one for me as I want to get an actual gopro camera and we all know those are $100+ to $300+ dollars as this was only $59.99 or a few cents less. I do recommend to get this one if you are on a budget or if you want a starter sports camera that way you can learn on it before you spend the BIG bucks on a gopro. Its a good starter camera, and seems to be pretty good so far, I haven't really used it except once or twice to get the hang of handling it. It works on any existing tripods you may already have so you don't really need to get a new one of those UNLESS you want one specifically for that, but you can buy the little gopro kits that have a few other extra items for these kinda cameras like the tripod, the head mount strap, the chest mount strap, the floating thingy something like a tripod but specifically for in the water.
Don't Purchase.

I do not recommend. No stabilization. Only one focal length setting. Nothing in the description implied either but the description was a bit lite. The camera is over-sensitive to heat. After a couple hours in the sun it quits. And worst of all there is no built in memory for date/time. Every time the battery runs down or is changed the date/time have to be reset. Should have been priced at $10.
